Meet Victor Daniel Lopez, M.S.

"One language sets you in a corridor for life. Two languages open every door along the way." -Frank Smith, Author

Victor has undergraduate degrees from the University of Arizona and a Master’s degree from the University of Southern California. He graduated with a double major in Political Science with an emphasis in Foreign Affairs; and Italian Language, Art & Literature. He received his Master of Science in Criminal Justice. Victor has also received his court interpreter certification in Spanish from the University of Arizona, Court Interpreting Training Institute. He is also a graduate of The Fast Response School of Medicine in Berkeley, California with a licensed certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Victor's experience as an EMT has given him a huge advantage when working with personal injury, medical malpractice, and wrongful death cases. He has used this advantage to work at the plaintiff firm Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger located in the Financial District of San Francisco. His ability to communicate and relate with Spanish-speaking clients allows him to gain an edge in his work. Working in a top firm, he has been exposed to multimillion-dollar cases and has worked firsthand with clients and witnesses to build up cases. After his time at Walkup, Victor pursued his passion for indigent defense and took his skills to the highest level of the law, the US federal court system. Victor has worked at the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the last 5 years under the current Federal Defender, Jodi Linker. Victor is also very passionate about supporting and giving back to his community. For the last 3 years, he has worked as the Chair of the Human Relations Commission. Appointed by the Mayor and voted on by the City Council, Victor has proactively used his position in the Human Relations Commission to inspire change and grow community outreach. He has authored and received multiple City Proclamations and has aided the City Council in directing funding to local programs and organizations.

Let’s build something beautiful.
